The $9.5 million Stage 3 extension marks a substantial extension to the facilities’ existing operation, introducing 7,400 sqm of GFA across three levels. This expansion firmly establishes the facility as a leading storage solution in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer northern suburbs.

The design phase involved close coordination among a multidisciplinary team – including civil and structural engineers, building surveyors, fire engineers, and hydraulic specialists. A central challenge was securing FRV (Fire Rescue Victoria) consent while maintaining cost-effective fire engineering outcomes. Achieving this balance required deep technical expertise and innovative problem-solving by the Regisbuilt team.

Regisbuilt used structural steel floors to accelerate the construction program. The team implemented a staged building-permit strategy that allowed design development to continue concurrently with construction. This method allowed eight weeks of intensive rock excavation to run in parallel with civil and concrete works, significantly enhancing project efficiency and compressing the overall timeline.

The project progressed from a soft opening in April 2025 to full completion by June 2025 – a testament to effective project management. The soft opening facilitated early trading operations prior to final handover, maximising revenue generation during the final phase.Designed to meet stringent security standards, the facility ensures robust protection of customers’ valuable belongings – an essential requirement for any high-quality self storage operation.
